Le Plateau – Cherry Wood Wine Tray with Hidden Tool Drawers

Le Plateau is a performance in three acts. Designed by Margherita Matticari, it is a stage for wine — a piece of minimalist architecture in cherry wood, slightly raised from the surface, that brings the art of enjoying fine wine into the room with elegance and drama.

Two concealed drawers open by a push-and-pull mechanism. The yellow lacquer drawer holds ten handmade leather coasters. The blue lacquer drawer houses five essential wine tools on a thick full-grain leather mat. A piece that belongs on a coffee table, near a fireplace, or at the centre of a beautiful cellar.
