Brilliant Decanter, handcrafted.
Due to its size, this decanter is perfect for young, complex and full-bodied red wines, or premium young white and rosé wines that become more harmonious as they breathe.
Inspired by the shape of a Brilliant, the mouth-blown Brilliant Decanter presents your wines in an elegant and stylish manner.
With its minimalist design and delicate structure, the Brilliant Decanter reveals the ultimate tasteful secret of the finest wines. The decanter optimizes aeration, ensuring that all the wine's flavor notes are extracted. In addition to the characteristic curve of the JOSEPHINE collection, the bottom of the decanter slopes into a cone. This distinctive design element ensures a spiral-shaped swirl that quickly enriches the wine with oxygen as soon as it is poured. The depth of the cone creates unprecedented ease of control and stability when pouring.
The shape and lightness of the decanter allow for elegant, one-handed pouring.
Dimensions
This decanter is designed for 0.75 l wine bottles.
Height 19 cm, diameter 23 cm, volume 2300 ml.
Care instructions
To properly clean your JOSEPHINE decanter, we recommend that you rinse it thoroughly after each use, first with hot water and then with cold water, and let it drain upside down on a stand.
If small residues remain in the decanter, you can remove them with a long, flexible sponge brush and hot water. If the brush reaches all stains, the use of detergents can be avoided. To remove residues from hard-to-reach areas, we recommend our cleaning beads.
In principle, it can also be washed in the dishwasher, provided the decanter is held securely and a glass-only program is used. A soft linen cloth is ideal for polishing your decanter.

JOSEPHINE Decanter – Brilliant

Josephine - every sip is pure enjoyment
Handmade in Europe. Made according to the highest standards of glassmaking: The Josephine unites the finest craftsmanship and visionary design.
Each glass is a unique piece, mouth-blown and hand-shaped. The process begins with a special mixture of raw glass and requires a distinct choreography from melting to polishing.
The process of making a wine glass by hand involves the power of fire and the critical moment when molten glass meets the mold. Precise hand movements then provide the final touch, with four to six skilled glassmakers collaborating on each individual glass. This dedication to the material and its shape results in wine glasses that are unparalleled in clarity and brilliance.

Kurt Josef Zalto
Kurt Josef Zalto, a sixth-generation glassmaker and the creative mind behind the new Josephinenhütte, has consistently set standards in the international wine world. For decades, he has pursued the perfect glass, driven by a vision to create a vessel that enhances the aromas of wine better than any other.
The Josephine is Kurt Josef Zalto's masterpiece—innovative and remarkable, reflecting the spirit of the original Josephinenhütte. With its lightweight, thin-walled, and elastic design, this wine glass redefines the experience of enjoying wine.
